Male Pectoral Implants

No matter your reason for wanting implants, you need to know that your body is in good hands. Dr. Chance Kaplan of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, has been a trusted name in plastic and cosmetic surgery since 1987. His compassionate and reassuring nature helps his patients feel confident in their decisions to make changes to improve their appearance.

Male pectoral implants is a procedure done on men who wish to improve the appearance of their chest. Even after serious exercise and weightlifting, certain men may not be able to achieve the chest they want, often due to genetics. Some men have also experienced illness or injury that have caused their chest to deflate. With the pectoral implants, chests will appear thicker and fuller.

Your Male Pectoral Implant Consultation

At your male pectoral implant consultation, Dr. Kaplan will ask you important questions about your medical history and your reasons for seeking a male pectoral implant. He will examine your medical history to ensure you are a good candidate for male pectoral implants.

Come to the appointment prepared to discuss your current medications including over-the-counter medications and supplements. It would be helpful for you to bring your medication bottles with you.

Once you and Dr. Kaplan agree that male pectoral implants are a good choice for you, your treatment will be discussed and your surgery will be scheduled. Most surgeries take place right here in our Fort Lauderdale office. You will be given instructions for caring for your body following your surgery as well as prescriptions to reduce discomfort and swelling. Plan ahead so that you will have adequate time to rest while you are healing.

The Male Pectoral Implant Procedure

During the implant surgery, you will be put under anesthesia for about two hours until the surgery is complete. During the procedure, Dr. Kaplan will implant durable silicone into your chest area, which are flexible, hard to the touch and impossible to rupture.

Following Your Pectoral Implant

After your surgery is complete, Dr. Kaplan will wrap a bandage around your chest to reduce any swelling that can occur following the surgery. Most patients feel tenderness or pain in their pectoral area for about one week after surgery, and it is recommended to rest and avoid any lifting or intense movement during your recovery. After about a week, your pain should subside, but any heavy lifting should be avoided for up to six weeks.
